A: Fiesta is ‘the other Townie meeting’ held each summer. Centered on a Caribbean theme of fun, sun and blue water, single Townies, couples and families get together for some laid back great CE,fun, food, friends & Fiesta’s. For the 8th Annual, Townie Fiesta will be heading back to Cozumel and the Interconontinental El Presidente-Townie's home away from home south of the border! Whether you like just laying on the beach or an active CE vacation, Townie Fiesta has something for everyone!
Q: Where is it? How do I get there??
A: You can fly directly to the beutiful island of Cozumel or if Cancun is more convenient, arrangements can be made to be picked up and brought to the resort by personalized transportation!
Q: Is this just a meeting for divers?
A: Heck no! While Cozumel is one of the top dive and snorkeling spot in the world, only about 1/3rd of Fiesta goers tend to be divers! There are loads of activities both below and above water, including golf, hiking, Island tours, shopping, tennis!
In years past, some of us headed to the famous Coba Ruins, took kyak tours, went deep sea fishing, took island moped tours and others kicked off the First Annual Fiesta Golf Outing...and some just stayed at the resort and kicked it on the beach!
Fast or slow-Fiesta has the pace for the vacation experience of a lifetime!
Q:What about social events?
A: As with previous years, there will be several social events, including catered dinners during Fiesta. More information on the specifics will be available soon!
Q: When should I go?!
A: In the past, most Townie amigos have arrived on Wednesday and departed on Sunday. Official events will run Thursday through Saturday! BUT in the past few years, the Towninos look like they are showing up the weekend before and staying for the whole week!
Many of the hotel reervations for 2009 are looking like Saturday or Sunday (June 27) arrivals and Sunday (July 5th).
Either way-it is a GREAT week to take off from work and enjoy life!
Q: Do I need to register my spouse or family if they are not attending any of the CE?
A: YES!...if they would like to attend the social events! That would include the opening tapas & cocktail party, the opening dinner with hosted bar as well as the closing dinner with another hosted bar. So-if they want to attend the dinners and social events, they will need to be registered. We want to make this affordable for everyone!
